Yes I know I have not posted for a while

Yeah OK guys I know. Shanksie has been slack with posts of great influences. Been so busy the last few weeks. Although I think the spring has had an amazing influence on me. I've been inspired to the point of buying a canvas, getting away from the mac and going back to some creative excitement with paint!!! Yes I have experienced my creative roots again (a long time overdue) I forgot how sometimes it is so daunting with a fresh canvas but I'd recommend to all you creative media boys and girls to get down and dirty with something that isn't on a computer.

I'll post the painting once I've got it off my camera phone (doh! technology again!!!!)

This site is excellent. Had me totally gripped. The new Nokia phone with internet access. I really love the concept and use of video/audio to get products across. Much more interesting!

Urban Fine Art

http://www.joseparla.com/home.html

Thanks Paul for sending this to me. I guess seeing the Banksy stuff has created a spark. This site is very interesting and certainly this artist is looking at things in a totally different way. In fact taking something you see everyday out of it's normal context is an important way to see things differently that might sometimes look upon the mundane. I love the flowing shapes of some of the scriptures and writings he has created. In a way the multi-layering style in his work is like peeling away years of wallpaper in a room to see the different periods in his life.

Keep the links coming!

Very funny Ads Dot Com

This is a great site that showcases all of the latest and classic viral ads. I still think the John West Salmon has to be a classic. Good inspiration you know. The URL does what it says on the tin! http://www.veryfunnyads.com/
